Pattern: www.jessica-tromp.nl/crossstit…
Also, check out the rest of her patterns, they are legit great! : www.jessica-tromp.nl/embroider…
Aida cloth: Purchased at micheals, though it can be found in pretty much every craft aisle.
Aida canvas: Purchased at Micheal's not sure if they still carry it. The one in my area doesn't but it may other places

Step 1: Picking the fabric. I'm using a 16 count Aida cloth. Though when working with patterns as small as I normally make them it's not really that big a deal what count you're using. I should point out at this point, that a thread count is how many stitches there are in an inch of fabric, and the higher the thread count you go, the smaller the picture will be but there will be higher details. Though that counts more in larger more complex patterns. This cute little elephant won't make much difference. Though, for anyone following me is like, "that's not the stuff they normally use!" No, it's not. I normally use a 14 count plastic canvas Aida. "Why are you doing a how to with something different?" That is a wonderful question! And all will become clear in the optional next step when I treat the cloth because I'm fussy and impatient and not, in all honesty, the best at this. (I have a disabilty known as dyscalculia, (also ADHD) like dyslexia but with math and numbers. I do these to give my hands something to do, and help with counting. So, I just thought I'd give a discalimer)
